Pretentieloos, eerlijk en puur….maar vooral authentiek! Wie heeft in Thailand niet het gevoel ervaren dat eten vooral een sociale gebeurtenis is en dat men zeker niet afgeleid dient te worden door randzaken, overbodige luxe en zinloze decoratie !?
Eigenaar Wiland Toelen heeft getracht het echte Thailand in Rotterdam gestalte te geven door elementen uit het alledaagse leven, met name Bangkok, een plek te geven in een prachtig gerestaureerd pand aan het, eveneens, totaal gerenoveerde Deliplein op Katendrecht. Waar nog niet eens zo heel lang geleden de zeelui, schuinsmarcheerders en kroegtijgers de Kaap afstruinden naar geestelijke en lichamelijke verzorging, is Katendrecht tegenwoordig vooral het domein van culinaire en culturele expansie!
Met de Thaise keuken als basis probeert Wiland samen met al zijn collega’s u een idee te geven van de eerlijke, gevarieerde keuken die Thailand rijk is.
